The black base of the “Leo Lights” A’One sets the stage for the Hyper Pink and white gradient. The upper features dual-layer mesh and synthetic overlays that offer breathability without compromising structure, balancing support and speed seamlessly. This sets the stage for the Hyper Pink overlays, which start with a white toebox and fade into progressively darker pink tones. Subtle embossed textures on the upper reflect A’ja’s South Carolina roots and her journey through the college ranks into WNBA superstardom. A’ja’s logo, which is incorporated on the tongue, insole and outsole mimics pieces of a star and a diamond, meant to emulate that “diamond in the rough” sentiment. And, finally A’ja’s signature gets scrawled in hot pink along the heel.
The “Pink A'ura” shoe follows the same color formula, swapping out the black mesh for shades of pink and trades the black Swooshes for even more pink.
This shoe isn’t just a cultural moment, though. Its cutting-edge design gives it power, stability and responsiveness. Zoom Air Strobel cushioning runs the length of the shoe, giving players energy return and court feel in every step. Whether it's in the post or on a fast break, the A’One keeps you moving. Midfoot lockdown system with Flywire cables provides adaptive fit and support, perfect for quick pivots and explosive cuts. Herringbone traction pattern on the outsole delivers reliable grip on any surface, so hoopers can stay planted when it counts most.
And unlike some celebs who merely sign off on their signature sneakers, Wilson teamed up with Nike Basketball and spent two years helping to perfect the shoe to fit her on-court needs and off-court aesthetic. The shoe had to be lightweight, durable and all about arch support and control. An added reinforced toe, plush underfoot foam, an extended bump along the heel, a generative traction pattern and a midfoot band all help achieve these goals.
Be sure to shop both basketball shoes at Hibbett when they launch May 29. We’ll have the “Black/Hyper Pink” available in grade school sizes, and the “Pink A'ura” in women’s sizes.
